Added the weather to the right

Ok, Mom, really, asking every few days on the phone when we’re talking about computer questions, “Did it rain out today?” is kind of old… soooo… check the weather over on the right side area.  And everyone else that’s bored and wonders what the weather’s like while they read the blog can peek over there, too. ;)

Putting my life back together…

Hey everyone!

Now that I have broadband at home, I can write out an entry. It was installed on Saturday, and I’ve spent the last few days getting my desktop back up and running. I have my laptop, but I use it for work, so I’m trying to keep everything of a personal nature off of there.

I saw some comments jammed up in the manage queue, and for some reason they didn’t want to approve, but it looks like I did? I need to check for updates to WordPress and get them on here ASAP now that I’m back online at home.

Work is going great. Hopefully by now you’ve seen Windows Defender (Beta 2) and if you haven’t, what’s the delay? This is the product I work on. It’s odd, really… all these years I’ve used Microsoft Windows (for the last, oh 12 I think?) and now I work on it. It’s really nice, though. There’s a lot of talented people here and it’s most enjoyable how we can all work together to make great software.

I’ve found a townhome and I’m moved in. Wow, what a pain unpacking. Soooooo many boxes, all over the place. I have most of them unpacked and out of here, so at least I can walk around now. I bought groceries, too, and of course I have the TV hooked up. There’s still more boxes, but they’ll have to wait for the weekends now to get unpacked and sorted. But it’s not major… I’d say I’m about 80% unpacked, and 60% moved in as some of the stuff is still on the table/floor/somewhere where it shouldn’t be yet.

Speaking of moving, I’ll be moving from the office I shared with another spyware analyst (who helped me get back up to speed) and into my own office. So more packing is in my future, although it’s quite minimal compared to moving my stuff here at home.

I’m going to leave it at that for now. Let’s see if I can get more frequent entries. In the meantime, I’m going to check on updating the blog software.

Edit – I updated the blog software, and I fixed the email issue, so all should be resoved (again) now.  Sheesh, eh?
