Just go read this: http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/nova/sun/. Better yet, watch the Nova episode when it re-airs. Wikipedia has an explanation also at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Global_dimming.

The park is opening! I have my flight info, car, hotel info; I’m ready to roll! This will be my 21st straight year of going to Cedar Point… not going to let a little detail like 2,000 miles get in the way of that one.
Other than that, nothing new at the moment. Tired, since it’s just shy of midnight, so I’m going to sleep. But, thought I’d throw a quick post in, and let my coaster buddies know I’m good to go for opening day.
Yeah, Daylight Saving Time, it’s in effect now. I guess it’s worth it? But it’ll be a week? before I shift my sleep pattern.
No boxes in my webcam? Yeah, they’re upstairs. I have a few left, but for the most part I’m unpacked. A quick note though.. unpacked does not imply organized. There’s a pile of power cords over in one spot, with some network cable in it and stuff. Another pile of… stuff. Yeah, more time needed.
Webcam for chat? I need a new webcam. For now, the one running the couch view is up, but I’d like a new one anyway. My “fun” funds are a little low, as they went into buying a Xbox 360 the other day. Oh yeah, it’s neat.  I use it for accessing stuff on my Media Center PC now, and the 3 games I have at the moment are fun. I’ve always preferred puzzle-type games over the shoot’em ones (although I love Halo), so hopefully we’ll see lots of those.
The weather’s been great… 60 degrees can stay all it wants. Sunroof open + windows down = happy me. Cedar Point opens in about a month… that’ll be GREAT! I’m really glad spring is here and summer is around the corner. I’m not one for winter.
I have been really busy with work, but that’s good. I’d rather have things to do rather than nothing. I’m still in that “honeymoon” phase, I’m told, but in any case, I’m still enjoying it. Still looking into the bike/etc idea. Sometimes the way people drive makes being in a car a good thing, but the majority of bike paths I’d take aren’t in with traffic.
Laundry calls, so off I go.
