The “Wow” starts now.

Welcome to Windows Vista!

I’m Elite! W00t!

Hey everyone!  January is flying by, but when doesn’t time do that?  Windows Vista is days away from shipping to consumers, and Windows Live OneCare 1.5 is headed out alongside.  The ice is gone (finally), but I did buy a set of tire chains.  Earthquake + evacuation order + ice-covered roads = need tire chains.

So what’s with the title?  Last year I flew a few times, to the tune of over 25,000 miles with Northwest Airlines, and my WorldPerks membership was upgraded to Silver Elite status.  The main thing I’m going to enjoy: getting on the plane prior to general boarding.  I know Northwest saves 10 minutes by doing this, but I still find it… I don’t know… rude? annoying? that after exit rows, first class, and WorldPerks Elite and SkyTeam Elite members board, EVERYONE boards.  Personally I would rather lose the 10 minutes and board by row rather than be hearded in like cattle into the JetWay.

Wiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii!  What an interesting console.  I’m quite enjoying Zelda, and Super Monkey Ball, while a tad different from the first two, is great.  (Let’s ignore Super Monkey Ball Adventure… oops, what a bad one.)  I’m curious what the Mario title will be like; I’m kind of starting to lose interest in that series, and I’m hoping this upcoming one restores it.

Hmm, what else – guess I’ll throw some single-sentence blabbing.  Donated blood last week.  Had a headlight burn out over the weekend.  The socks I bought from Fred Meyer a half a year ago are getting holes… never again; what I get for not buying Fruit of the Loom and instead buying the who-are-you brand.  There are some weird people on American Idol.  I miss Buffalo Wild Wings – someone build one over here.  Why, oh why, do people continue to bring large amounts of liquid through the security checkpoint?  Starbucks, I don’t need you to ask me how I’m doing every time I come and buy a latte – just sell me the latte, ok?  The sun is going to be out for the next week at least, with minimal rain – yayyyyyyyyyyy!  In case anyone’s curious, Cedar Point opens in 108 days.

Well, I think I’ll leave it at that.  Take care everyone!
