Since the beginning of June, when I traded in driving my car all the time for the bus routes, and eventually added a bicycle to the picture, I’ve lost 7 pounds.
Need to keep it up, which I’m not having a problem with. Leaving my car behind. I’m saving on fuel, I’m exercising, and I’m out enjoying the great Seattle landscape. Only side effect so far is having the car battery drain too far twice on me, but that’s due to various electronics I have in the car pulling energy all the time. I should unplug them, but instead I connect a battery charger and trickle charge the battery back to full now and again.
I really like my bicycle. If I remember right, the bicycles has about 60 miles on it so far. (The battery in my pedometer died months ago, so I have no idea how many miles I’ve walked from all this.) I’m curious about what will happen as winter approaches. With winter comes the rain, and riding my bike in the rain does not sound like a fun time. I do have a rain suit, but while it keeps the rain out, it hold moisture in, and I hear people sometimes sweat when cycling. If anyone has suggestions on biking in the rain, please, let me know.
Given it’s 3:30 am, I’m going to sleep. See ya’z.
