You Make It You

New Zunes in only a few hours!  You make it you!

I can’t wait for the new software, the new firmware, and eventually, to pick up a Zune 8.  Yay Media Center support!  Yay wireless sync!  Yay!

EDIT – WOW!  WOW WOW WOW!  The new software is awesome!  Absolutely great!  It’s so pretty to look at – it’s smooth in its transitions – it’s fast – it’s easy to use – did I mention it’s pretty to look at?  Just great!

Welcome to Fall ‘07

Here comes the cold, and the rain we are so famous for.  It’s ok, I bought a GustBuster umbrella [gustbuster.com], so I should be good to go.  I also bought some clothes a while back (see post: Shopping At The Outlets) and some new ones today.  Winter, I’m ready for ya. ;)

Oh, I forgot to mention before.  I dropped one pant size!  Now I’m 34 waist instead of 36!  When I went to the Outlets before, the new pants I bought were 34s.  I just never thought to blog about this.  It occurred to me now given I just went shopping again today.

Closing weekend happened at Cedar Point.  It was a nice trip.  Had 38 rides on Magnum, so the year total was 108.  Let’s see if I can do better next year.  I already bought next year’s pass, but I’m unclear how I’m going to get my photo taken prior to park opening.  I do NOT want to wait in line opening day – the line is horrendous!

I also picked up a new cell phone under Verizon Wireless’s New Every Two program.  It’s a Motorola RAZR 2 V9m, and of course, I hacked it a little bit.  Here’s a video showing what I did.  That took about 3 hours, and it was fun, of course.  Wow is the phone thin!  It’s my first thin phone like that;  all my others have been thicker.  This one slides right in my pocket to the point that I hardly notice it.  Call quality is nice, and I find it has better signal strength than the Samsung SCH-a970 I had, even when it was new.

My waterbed (yes, I had one) had a hole in it a few weeks ago, so I bought a Sleep Number bed from Select Comfort to replace it.  It is wonnnnnnnderful!  I get in it, and I just fall right asleep in it.  Just great!  For the curious, my Sleep Number seems to be 60.  While I try not to do this on my blog, if you’re interested in a Sleep Number bed, can you let me know?  I get a referral certificate if you give my name and Comfort Club number.

My Internet connection has been odd at home.  It seems ok during the day, but in the evenings my 8 Mbps connection acts like a 1 Mbps connection.  While the speed still allows for a decent browsing experience, I do pay extra for the 8 Mbps connection, so I’d like it to perform at least somewhat near that.  That, along with Comcast’s recent network management methods (that I wonder if it is interfering with my Vonage service), has me considering switching to DSL.  Preliminary checks suggest I can get 8 Mbps service here, and when I had DSL in Michigan, it always ran great, all the time.  The cost is a little more, but I’m willing to pay a little more for something that I can depend on than save a little and have unreliable service.

Well, that’s all I have from between the last post and tonight.  I need to get to sleep so I can get up for work in the morning.  Until next post, take care!
